Asian Development Bank has been supporting the trail bridge programme through the Decentralized Rural Infrastructure and Livelihoods Project (DRILP) and its successor DRILP-Additional Financing in eight districts – Baitadi, Baglung, Gorkha, Lamjung, Myagdi, Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap, and Taplejung.
Altogether, 108 trail bridges have been completed which has benefited over 170,000 beneficiaries (54% belonging to disadvantaged groups). During the construction process, over 247,600 person-days of employment was generated at the local level (71% to disadvantaged groups).
